Synopsis: Downlinks
I'm just getting started on my outline, but it's going to be a lovecraftian-style horror set in a near-future somewhat cyberpunk-y environment. I've got 23 dares that I'm hoping to work in, but some of them will be a real challenge to accommodate without ruining the mood of the story.
My cover art is completely ripped off from random people's art that I found on the web; all the images are being used without permission. When I find some time I'll work on a more legitimate cover image.

From a purely technical point of view, I'm serving a
subpoena. It's just that the subpoena is questionably
cross-jurisdictional, sealed by court order, and seeking
electronic records which will be accepted by the court as
testimony-by-proxy, so the intended recipient of the
subpoena doesn't need to even know about it... and can't,
because of that whole sealed-by-court-order thing. So I'm
just going in to steal someone's database.
The part that is making my stomach churn is the whole 'use
of lethal force is authorized' bit... either that or the
fact that I'm falling past 500 meters and I don't entirely trust my wings,
which I really should be deploying about now.
