Synopsis: The Wish
YA urban fantasy (14+). 16-year-old Sofia Delgado wishes for a lot of things. She wishes she had an Xbox. She wishes she had a bigger allowance. She wishes that having a mother who's a globe-trotting photo-journalist didn't have to mean that her embarrassing baby photos grace coffee table books all over the world. But after she's attacked by an invisible creature, her wishes start coming true--and not in the way she'd like. She wishes she didn't have to go home and her flat is destroyed by a gas explosion. She wishes she didn't have to talk to her mother and Julia Delgado goes missing on the way home from her latest assignment.
When another wish breaks down the barriers between the human city and the Mirrormere, a secret world of magic, illusion, and danger, Sofia has to solve the mystery of her parentage, rescue her mother, and find a way to break the curse on herself before the world she knows vanishes into the shadows.
