Synopsis: The Witch's Familiar

Familiars aren't just a cat or some random animal, they're shape shifters. They are humans until the age of 17 when they get the ability to transform. They spend their lives attending school with the witches they are going to be familiars for.
Enter Roslyn Blake, who has grown up in the foster system and knows nothing about witches or that she's a familiar who is less than a week from turning. After an incident involving a house and fire, she is taken to Ravenwolf Academy and has to learn the rules of the trade. But how is she supposed to do this when there's someone trying to kill one of her friends, not to mention her witch?
