My only literary achievement before this, my first novel challenge is a (so far unpublished) 150-minute science fiction screenplay. I'm still excited.

I inherited a Radio Shack TRS-80 Model 100 Portable Computer just 11 years younger than me, and I'm using it to write the novel. You can find out more about the Model 100 at Club100.org and on a Google search for the term "trs-80 model 100." It doesn't have the memory capacity to hold a 50,000-word novel, but I can write on the run and transfer chapters into a desktop when I get home.
