Synopsis: Battle of the Mortals

This girl named Katilynn's sister (Elizabeth) dies on her 16th birthday (February 10th). A few months later, Katilynn's family moves to a town called Victory, California from their Pennsylvania home, all the while preparing for Katilynn's 16th birthday, almost exactly ten months from Elizabeth's birthday/deathday. On Katilynn's 16th birthday (December 21st), Katilynn becomes ill, much like her sister did, and dies. but, instead of going to heaven, she has awoken in what looks like a city, full of angels. she finds her sister, and is informed that the annual Battle of the Mortals will begin on January 1st. This battle occurs on every January first, and consists of 25 boys and 25 girls from all different parts of the world. The children were marked at birth to fight. Each is born in the same year, and all the others have died and arrived in the city. (In this particular story, no human ever dies and goes to Heaven) The 50 children, all age 16, will be interviewed, given their angel's name and an angelic power, and then thrown into a huge arena to fight. The three children who survive will be returned to their families, allowed to keep their angelic power, and given access to the angel city. The ones that die, die like normal humans, no heaven, no nothing. While they are gone, the parents minds are wiped, and they forget their children, until they return or die.
