Brief Author Bio: im a newbie! I normally write poetry and the like, short stories, kids stories about roger... thought i'd try the challenge this year and go for the big one. It's clashing with my dissertation, but i don't really care. I'm an excellent procrastinator - so i can procrastinate on NaNoWriMo with my dissertation, and on my dissertation with NaNoWriMo. And in between i think i may heal my hamster, fix my computer and finish season 6 of X-Files. Ok, well, maybe that's a bit TOO ambitious... but... what the hell... |

Excerpt:
‘I know...’ Adam was already putting the food away. Not that there were many places to put it. The small bottle of milk went in the can fridge, bread in the top cupboard, next to the peanut butter and noodles-in-a-pot; a jar of coffee on the half shelf, bottom cupboard next to the one and only chipped cup. Turning round, he saw that Joe was crouched by the window, having pulled back the binbag, he was peering out into the darkened alleyway.
‘You ok...?’
‘Been better...’ He didn’t turn round, just carried on staring into the deep murkiness. ‘...We're just expected to bite our lip and carry on. I dunno, like... like, we don't care or somethin'. We do it to ourselves, don't we? the pain? the heartache?...’
