The year is 2129. There is peace and control, equality and success. We are also under the totalitarian rule of Prime Minister Nikolai Blake. Determined to purge the system of all delinquents that are deemed unfit to thrive in society, he has hired Genetech, the world's leading scientific and pharmaceutical research company to aid him in doing so. Genetech has been given a task to develop an injection (previous lethal injections had been outlawed for over fifty years) that allows for the termination of all criminals deemed unfit for the perfect society. But something goes terribly wrong and the shot does not terminate these criminals. Instead, they start to change and become stronger, faster, almost indestructible. Now they are on the run, trying to escape with their second chance at life, trying to blend in with society while attempting an uprising resistance movement. We follow Alexandre Janssen, one escapee who gets himself into quite a bind as he meets Elsa Vandegraft, a girl who is likely to indirectly end his second chance at life all too quickly.
