Synopsis: (science fantasy)

Someone starts having hallucinations and is sent to an asylum.

Excerpt: (science fantasy)

This time, I decided to look for mushrooms. It was supposed to look innocent, somehow, even playful.
I didn’t even know if they were in the woods this time, but hey, I reasoned, I found the berries last time in the woods, so this should be easy, right?
I was wrong. Shortly after entering the woods, I heard something that sounded threatening. Despite the fact that I never saw what created the sound, I had this urge to run away from that, whatever it was.
I tried staying away from that noise whenever I could, but I could still hear it… If that wasn’t bad enough, I had no clue where I was now. I knew about the berry patch before, but I wasn’t even aware if there was a place for mushrooms, or even if they had the type of lethal mushrooms that I was looking for.
The sunlight shone through the trees just barely. I had already been in here for several hours looking for the mushrooms, and now it was getting dark. I had to hurry up. If it happened just like before, then I would have a bigger trouble than what I was currently dealing with.
