Brief Author Bio: Even as a child, I loved to write and expresses myself through the written word. I could poor my soul and imagination onto paper, but could rarely vocalize myself. I'm passionate about my writing and hope, someday, to have it read by people all over the world. Call me silly, but, I love the show Murder She Wrote. I don't write mystery, but I love the relationships she builds through her work, the knowledge she obtains through research to enhance her books' plausibility, and her stardom--as she is well known by readers worldwide. :-) You can also find me on: Twitter: Facebook: Writing.com (Because writing is my life): |

Excerpt: Intercepted
Seth heard commotion behind him as the revolving doors spit out two men who immediately began shoving innocent bystanders out of the way. They were after him. He started running down the sidewalk to the right when he heard the screeching of abruptly applied brakes. He looked over and saw a large 2009 black Escalade swerving into the curb. Seth looked behind him to determine how far back the men were--they were practically on his heels—there was no time to change his course. He motioned to Jack to keep moving.
Jack pulled back off the curb, nearly hitting a car already passing in his lane, causing it to veer into the inside lane and strike another vehicle. Jack continued forward and opened up the passenger door, shouting at Seth.
“Get in!”
Seth made a sharp left, running to intersect with the moving Escalade.
“Give me the package!” Jack ordered.
Seth threw the briefcase into the passenger seat of the SUV and then tried to jump in. He missed and was barely able to hang on, but was still able to get a strong hold on the door by putting his arm through the open window. He was being partially dragged as he tried to get his footing in such a way that he could pull himself into the vehicle.
Still in pursuit, the two men were pushing people out of the way and shooting at Jack and Seth. A bullet hit the top of the passenger door and bounced off of it, grazing Seth in the forehead. He finally managed to get himself up into the Escalade and shut the door.
