Synopsis: Echo Generation
We thought our life was strange. But that was before. Before we discovered the secrets that would change our life forever. We’re here to tell you our story because everything is a lie. Yes, good old Earth life is not as it seems. Aliens are, in fact, real.
And the year is not 2010.
Excerpt: Echo Generation
Mav tugged at our hands and we kept moving. “Watch out for that edge right there-“
My foot slipped off of ‘that edge’ and like a dummy my body kept moving forward. “Yaaah!” We all tumbled down the slope, yelling as lots of pointy objects like rocks and trees broke our fall.
“Unhgh!” A weird voice…was that Jekk? shouted as I landed on something soft at the bottom.
“Oy…thanks for the warning Mav.” I groaned.
“Thanks for pulling us all after you, Echo. Sheesh…I think I landed on your head, Jekk.” Falcon grunted as he sat upright.
“You’re right, you did. Now get off of me.”
Wait…if that was Jekk over by Falcon, then who was I currently sitting on? “Hey Mav?” I said, rolling off of the soft thing.
“Over here genius.” If she was over there…then who had I landed on?
Two glowing blue eyes appeared next to me. “YAAAH!” I scrambled backwards on my butt.
“Are you Echo?”
“Woah…what is that?” Falcon moved closer to me. It’s pretty unnvering for a pair…wait, now there were four glowing eyes. Or was it six?
“Are you another mutant? Did you escape when we did?”
“No, Echo, I did not escape with you. And I am not a mutant. One moment please…”
Dim white light flared suddenly. I blinked as my eyes adjusted.
“Woah…are you sure you’re not a mutant?” Jekk said.
Because boy, if this wasn’t a mutant, then it was some escaped refugee from a circus or something...
"I am not a mutant," it said.
"I am an alien."
