Synopsis: Monsters
Nicholai Fedorovich is probably not going anywhere with his life. He has no qualifications other than A-Levels in Geography and French, and has no aspirations for any job outside of the one he has in the antique shop down the road from the chippy. He doesn't seem to mind.
Then he wakes up with a case of vampirism after a drunken bender. Exposed to a minor underworld filled with the paranormally-enhanced (as they like to be called) and faced with an eternity of not-going-anywhere, Nicholai sets out with the aid of a lycanthropic dentist, a vocally-challenged zombie and a lesser demon trapped in the body of a pet rat to find the only cure - the vampire that bit him. Hijinks ensue.

“...You're saying I'm a vampire now.” Nicholai responded, his expression unchanging.
“Yes.” Mirahov nodded.
“But I came here in daylight. Why didn't I burn to a crisp?”
“That's an exaggeration perpetuated by myth. In reality, it just means you'll sunburn really easily from now on. Also, you can still eat garlic if that's your thing. But try not to touch anything made of silver.” Mirahov was, at the very least, expecting some questions to this effect. She knew she'd had her own questions back when she'd turned, except she'd had no-one to answer them.
“So how do you know all this?” Nicholai demanded. “Are you saying you're a vampire as well?”
“What? No.” A pause. “I'm one of the dentists that vampires in this area go to, that's all.”
“Uh huh.” Nicholai started getting off the chair. “....So, when did you stop taking your medication?”
Mirahov sighed. “...I wish I could say I didn't expect that reaction. "
