Martin Channing is a college student of no great consequence. What will become of him when he discovers he has a superpower?
Excerpt: Momentum
Prologue -- Impulse
Before he could react, Martin’s bike hit the door and he went flying. A moment later, everything went dark, and he had just enough time to notice that he was still falling before he hit.
The impact was ... strange. First, his helmet struck and slid off with a low scraping sound. Then he caught himself on his gloves, which slipped for a moment and then tore with a painful jerk. Then he was lying flat on the ground, and then the lights went back on.
Martin lay bewildered, wondering what became of his senses. A second later, he heard a clattering noise, then someone running from behind him, yelling, "Are you all right?"
"Huh?" Martin said, turning his head.
