Synopsis:

Kaylee Marsh is a college junior who knows what she wants in life. That's the only reason she can manage her 18-credit course load and three part-time jobs. But when her younger brother dies back home, the bottom falls out of Kaylee's world and she has to figure out what's really important.

When Callie Marsh walks in on her high school principal dad doing a substitute teacher on his desk in the last weeks of her freshman year, the bottom falls out of her world. After a whirlwind six months of lawyers and custody hearings, she and her mom relocate from suburban New Jersey to a rural town in central Virginia. As she struggles to come to terms with her parents divorce, Callie and her mom have to make a new life for themselves in a place they thought would never feel like home.
