Lisandro clutched the back of my shirt nervously. “Peras… I hate being up this high.” He said, and all traces of his dry sense of humor had flown out the window.

“You’ll be fine.” I muttered. “We wouldn’t be up here if it wasn’t safe.”

“You know…” Haro began loudly; apparently he hadn’t heard our conversation. “I fell off the third floor balcony one time. I had to get nine stitches from Aiden.” I felt Lisandro’s grip on the back of my shirt tighten.

Victor glanced back at us, and his eyes told me he had overheard our conversation. “But if I recall correctly, dear brother, that was only after you were trying to walk on the railing. No?”
