Excerpt: Journey To Australia

My dreams, in retrospect, tried to tell me what was really going on, but I wasn’t listening. I lived in denial for years. Even with knowing that my addiction was running the show at one level, I still justified and rationalised my desperate involvements as ‘what god wants for me’ or ‘it was meant to be.’ I had joined a church to further live in denial of my addiction by trying to ignore it completely. What followed were twelve years of inner torture projected outwards. And that’s not counting the daily migraines.
