Synopsis: The Trading Family
A very successful stock broker, Husband and Father of two, gets let go. Due to the Earth's shattered economy his diligent job hunting proves fruitless. So to provide for his family he decides to take a chance, sell their house, and pursue his lifelong dream of space trading. He and his family set out into the stars in their new home, not knowing the man they hired to pilot it is on the run from some very bad men. If they thought they had enough trouble adjusting to their new life and learning to turn a profit, they're in for a long ride.
Excerpt: The Trading Family
He put the picture in his briefcase, and sat one last time at his desk. He deleted the few folders of music he had from the computer. Usually, when he wasn't on the phone with clients, he just listened to streaming radio stations, so there wasn't much to clean up. He took a deep breath and logged off. It was really weird to know this was the last time he'd be using this computer, it had become such a routine part of his weekday to be working on it. He rose from the desk that was no longer his, and put on his coat. He took one last look as he stood in the doorway, he had been in this office for ten years now, ever since he had been given that promotion the year he turned thirty. Had ten years really gone by that fast? His boys were 12 and 14 now. Tony would be starting high school next year. He let out a long breath, and turned to go.
