Synopsis: Thorns

In a post-WWIII North American civilization, Brian Gedrick, eldest son of the Vakrehaug resistance, goes undercover in the Tsar’s palace for intelligence gathering and is not prepared for what he finds.

Raina Nikolaevskaya, the only daughter of Tsar Alexei's five children and his prized possession, befriends an older, homeless woman who shows her kindness and love, letting her in on the harsh realities of how her father treats those who oppose or question his politics.

Raina suddenly finds herself spiraling down a road of espionage while she cleverly finds ways to lose the guards ordered for her protection. The only problem is that she finds herself intrigued by one hazel-eyed guard and a secret she sees lurking behind his cold, hard stares.

With neither Brian nor Raina knowing the other’s involvement in the same mission, they keep their desires for one another hidden. How long can they keep it up and what happens when they have to choose between their love and their country?
