Brief Author Bio: I was born in Chicago, but was raised in a small county in Kentucky named Muhlenberg. I now live in Lexington working full time as a home health aide. I have been writing for my own amusement since I was in 3rd grade. I was assigned to read The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe and haven't stopped reading or writing since. I am getting to be more enthusiastic about my writing and hope to make it more of a profession rather than a hobby. |

Synopsis: Teardrops
Ally is harboring a crush on her best friend Travis, but will Travis figure it out before she starts growing closer to the new guy in town?
Excerpt: Teardrops
While driving home, I start playing over the conversation Travis and I had while walking out to the parking lot after class. He told me he was glad I was his friend and that he didn’t know what he would do without me. He said he appreciated how much I was there for him and that he always wanted me to be a part of his life. Then he started talking about how he didn’t have anyone else he could talk to like he talked to me. I understand him, I support and encourage him, and I make him feel like he’s worth something. Then he opened my car door for me, gave me another bone crushing hug, and told me he’d call me later.
He confused the crap out of me, honestly. I don’t’ know how to take what he told me. Does he mean that he wants to be more than friends, or only friends? Does this mean that he realized how I feel? Should I ask him? I need to talk to Jordin!
