Following a sudden end in her three year relationship, Sophia decides that now is the time for change. Excerpt: Mending Broken Hearts
No matter how hard she tried, Sophia could not stop thinking about the incident in the corridor. Whenever she had a spare minute, when she was filling in paperwork, or updating a patient’s notes, it would sneak back into the forefront of her thoughts. Although it had no particular significance, there was something about it that she found intriguing. Allowing herself a moment to indulge these thoughts, she thought that perhaps, there was something about it that she had not yet realised. This was the third time that he had looked at her slightly bizarrely. The first time, was understandable, seeing as she was an unfamiliar person wandering the offices of the CEO and other influential figures of the hospital, the second, he was probably wondering who she was and what she was doing, but the third, well the third had her puzzled. After a moment, she came to the conclusion that he had probably thought her to be a member of the Department of Health, or a medical salesperson or something, but her being here again with a stethoscope draped around her neck gave away her secret. Having now indulged these thoughts, she would now be free to forget them and focus on her patients. Or so she hoped.
