Synopsis: Untitled (for now)
Discontentment seems to posses Evelyn's life. She and her family have always lived in town, and always wanted to live in the country on a large piece of property with a nice house. But their dreams are just that... dreams. Evelyn and her sisters are tired of feeling all alone in their beliefs and commitments, and so desire to move someplace where there are other Christian families that they can have like-minded fellowship with. But strangely enough, God seems to have them where they are for a reason. As hard lessons and big opportunities come their way, the Lindgren family slowly learns to surrender all they have, want, and are to God for His purpose. Evelyn's life is forever changed when she learns to embrace what God has given her right now.

[below are just a few snippets of my better writing thus far in NaNo]
The proud rays of July sunshine warmed the waking town below and seemed to signal the commencement of all earthly – and unearthly – noise that the previous day had left off with. But the glory of the new morning had somehow managed to miss imparting some of it's joy to Evelyn. Her eyes stared out the window but didn't see anything. Her hands remained motionless, one laying across a blank notebook page, the other loosely holding a pencil. Evelyn's mind, however, was not still, and her heart even less willing to be quiet.

That whole day Evelyn felt as if she was an observer watching an add sort of morality play, seeing all the faults of it, but not understanding the virtues. All her senses were heightened by a strangely exalting sorrow that made her see who she was and what the world was like in the painful truth of reality.

There was something wrong. Evelyn knew it. She didn't have much joy, contentment, or inner peace. What was she missing? What had she been doing wrong? Direction. Guidance. Vision. These few words stepped out of the sea of endless choices and shimmered before her burning eyes. They engraved themselves into her mind, and everywhere she went she saw their effects played out in society.
