Excerpt:

“I understand your consern but, you must help. I’ll explain all of this after you’ve been sworn in.” He began pleading. “Theres no way I would do that! I’m wouldn’t risk my life for a group of rouges, even if I believed all this was real. This is insanity!” Danny had to stop himself from attacking the men and women around the table. “You must! This is reality, and theses are real, innocent lives at stake” Sarion started to raise his voice. “I won’t do that I’m not about to waist my life fighting a nonexistent force!” Danny replied. “Then we will force you. You will marked with the Rebel Sign. If you return to the surface with the mark the Empire will kill you on sight. This will ensure that all threat from you is eliminated or we will have power that’s unimaginable thanks to the prophecy.” Sarion decided Danny’s fate. Just then a large group of guards surrounded Danny at the anticipation of a fight. They forced him to follow in a close group. The group was heading towards yet another wall, that Danny asumed was just another cloth cover for a door. They uncovered the door and went through. The hallway that was on the other side of the door was identical to the one that Danny had first entered. They continued at a brisk pace towards a grim looking door at the end of the corridor. The door was constructed of black bars like a mansions front gate. It had spikes at the top and, curled down at the bottom just before reaching the floor. The something about the door was very unerving to Danny. There was an unusual lock it was like a wooden box that a key could fit in, it was unlocked and two gaurds including Danny stepped in and the rest stayed out. The door was then resealed and locked. There was a stone platform about a foot off the ground and about the size of an average grown man. The platform had straps that dangled down towards the floor. Danny had guessed this was were he would be marked but, he never thought of what the mark would be until he saw a massive fire burning in a stove next to the platform. Next to the stove there was a iron rod, with a unusual shape at the end. The fire was very bright. The guards motioned for Danny to lay down on the platform. When Danny made no effort to move towards the demented bed the guards forced him to lay down and strapped him in. Then one of the guards picked up the branding rod and thrust it into the blazing fire. Danny lay there shaking in agonizing anticipation of the searing pain to come, he knew it would be unbearable. After several minutes the guard removed the rod and smiled when he saw the end was glowing red hot. He walked ove and slowly moved the rod closer and closer to the skin on Danny’s neck. Danny could feel the heat radiating from the red hot metal rod only a few inches way from his skin. Then a loud hiss and scream of terrifying pain the metal rod touched Danny’s neck. It made the sound of bacon frying on skillet. The smell of burnt flesh rose up around the horrible spectacle. Danny continued to scream in agony. The metal rod felt like a bolt of lightening stabbing him from his neck and reverberating through out his entire body. The pain became to much for him and he began to black out but, only as the rod was torn from his neck dragging with it melted flesh the smell was horrifying and the sight was even more disturbing. Danny’s neck began bleeding profusely. Finally Danny passed out from the excruciating pain.
