Synopsis:

Unknown to her she was born an Other. A group of persons with a recessive gene which makes them live longer, but not immortal, gives them special abilities and makes them sleep a lot less than normal people.
According to the Council, everyone needs a council, she is not developing fast enough and needs a boost to get her matured fast enough. They bring in another Other to help her, then decides to have her parents removed to help her along.
It's a race to see if she will mature fast enough to save her parents.
