Synopsis: Inspiration

Spiro has a few months to get it right. It has been over a century since he inspired someone to greatness. What he needed was to be nearer to his target. A young girl named Anna who could paint in a way you that seemed you could step right into her worlds. Could Spiro do the unthinkable, could he ignore ancient law and step out of his world into hers?

Excerpt: Inspiration

Spiro woke dazed in his apartment he gazed hazily around the room. Wiping crumbs from his top he stumbled over to his window. You can see a lot of the city from seven floors up, and Spiro needed to see the city. He needed to be inspired lately. It started with the dream of a girl, her name was Anna and her gift was the ability to paint scenes that were almost other worldly and Spiro knew if he could just find the inspiration he so desperately needed he could help Anna find hers.
Spiro graduated the academy nearly 500 years before. In his best efforts he inspired some of the leading authors, painters, and scientific minds of previous centuries. His last big project had been in London, a man by the name of Dickens. He helped Dickens write the sort of books that eons later people still studied and adored them. The problem was it was that many years ago since he made a difference in one of his projects. Sitting at the window thinking of how to help Anna, Spiro had a thought. What if he crossed over into Anna’s world? It had been done before, that is where the legends of the muses came from. It was illegal and Spiro could lose his job and comfy lifestyle but part of being a Muse is actually inspiring your target. His race was born from the daughters of Zeus, only the elite and most inspiring get to continue, and now he was out of answers. How would he help Anna if he didn’t deny the ancient rules and step through the veil?
