Brief Author Bio: I taught high school English for 7 years, before leaving teaching to raise my daughter, now 15 months old. In my past lives, I was a technology coach for the New York City Writing Project, a tutor for Kaplan, an AmericaReads volunteer and a Jumpstart corps member. I hold a BA from NYU in English Education, and an MA in Urban Policy Analysis and Management from the Milano at The New School. I used to blog about education and my own teaching, but now I mostly post recipes, and whatever else strikes my fancy. Yes, my blog is having an identity crisis! |

Synopsis: Crisis Management
Beth suffers her midlife crisis, 20 years too early.
Excerpt: Crisis Management
Beth floated on her back, eyes closed. As everyone clambered up the embankment and came to rest, they turned and face the water. They wondered if Beth were drowning, silent until Nina realized that her sister’s chest was moving up and down gently and slowly. “She’s meditating... or something,” Nina said to herself, shaking her head in bewilderment.
