Synopsis: Learning to Leave the Cat
A single woman tries to navigate through the ups and downs of single life, meanwhile taking some time to laugh at the world and the people around her.
Excerpt: Learning to Leave the Cat
You never plan on having your heart torn out, and thrown on the ground. Days like that are what bad soap opera’s are made of. Me, standing in the street, watching as his cab drives away, and the rain is pouring over my face, and the only thing that I have to grasp on to, as I struggle for air, is his cat. The asshole left his cat with me. What kind of man, wakes up in the morning, and over breakfast tells you that things just aren’t working out the way he thought they were going to, and then wipes the strawberry jelly off the corners of his mouth, stands up, and walks out?
