Synopsis: AN AMERICAN SOLDIER
My 17 year old son called me last night from his first week of Basic Training.
He lamented the push-ups, but the pride that filled his words as he spoke about the training and the job he had to do, created a huge sense of satoisfaction inside me.
He asked that I send him pages from my newest WIP so he would have something to read in his limited, & lonely spare time. He's my biggest writing critic, my son, my heart. Of course, I will. But I can do better than that.
And so I'm restarting my word count at 0, and writing him, his own story.
