Hey there - my name is Abbie, but I go as BirdIdle for most of my usernames; no special reason, I just simply like it! I have a cheeky little Cavalier King Charles spaniel named Guy and live with him and my mom, though we may soon be moving.

Well, I'm in my final two years of compulsory British education, which means I'm snowed under with revision and coursework. All my focus is on university, and has been for a while - school is often dull and unchallenging: LSE, on an International Relations undergraduate course in 2013-2016 is hopefully where I'm heading...

As you can probably tell, most of my time is spent either studying hard or planning ahead, and I'm glad I have NaNoWriMo to achieve something in the here and the now - 50,000 words of a fictional piece that could possiby be the foundation of a future first published novel, who knows? :)

This is my first year of NaNoWriMo and I'm just counting my lucky stars I found it on time (discovered it online due to a typo in a web browser just a couple of days before it began) because I am in serious need of a kick up the rear in regard to follow through of my ideas. I have enough of them, I just need to persevere and develop them - and the community on NaNoWriMo really helps, I'm glad I have it.
