Synopsis: The Dangerous Dance
Jennifer Daulton is a normal seventeen-year-old girl. She lives in a world much like our own, but each human being is born with a gift - fire, water, earth, air, life, or death. When she and her twin sister are drawn to a rebel organization and exposed to an ancient source of power, their lives will never be the same.
Excerpt: The Dangerous Dance
Later, years later, when looking back on this trip, the geography of Switzerland wouldn’t be the first thing she thought of. She wouldn’t think of how quaint Bern seemed, how she could see herself living here. She wouldn’t think of how large the mountains were, and how, as they continued on in their train rides, the mountains seemed to raise up around them. She wouldn’t think of all of the pine trees, the waterfalls, the snow-capped mountains she felt like she could touch.
If she tried, she could pull up those memories. She could think of how she felt with her head out of the train from Lauterbrunnen to Stechelberg. She could look through her pictures and remember how odd she felt taking pictures like she was a tourist instead of someone in a very dangerous situation.
Instead, her trip would be colored by the people she met, good and bad, how those relationships affected her life, and a world that opened up to her.
