Synopsis: Time is Now
The novel is set in an unreal setting where time is compressed running into the present. Life turns to shadow due to the Limit of Life, except for a few individuals that hold an enchanted stone that protects them from this event. The same stone, just held by different individuals in different points of time. A wizard coming from the times when this stone was created starts to gather these people and recruit their help to set time right again.
Excerpt: Time is Now
“Hello?”
She was sure she felt watched. She called again, loud and clear, but to no avail. Looking around, the shadows seemed to shift and move just on the corner of her vision. If she looked straight ahead, they apparently stopped moving.
She grabbed the gym bag and put it on her lap, hugging it tightly.
“What's wrong with me?” She muttered.
She stood up and looked around. She could swear she had heard a growl. The light right above her made a final bright flicker and fizzled down. Her heart suddenly jumped and beat like a raciong horse. Quickly, she ran under the next light.
Which flickered and burned out in the same fashion.
She tried a third time. Again.
With no lights left, she panicked and ran away, dropping her gym bag and everything. She could feel something behind her, and a warmth on the back of her neck, like someone breathing close to her.
She ran, and ran. Her breathing hard and laboured. She went to the gym often and trained hard, but even then it wouldn't be long before she became too fatigued to keep the pace. She didn't want to think of what would happen if she stopped running. She was too panicked to be thankful for the panic that prevented her thoughts straying that way.
