Synopsis: Secret Novel Which I am Not Writing

Ali has always had one broken wing. Stubborn as a mule, she is determined to complete the rites of passage of her kind; bearing a token message to the City to prove that she can. No where in the rules does it stipulate "by flying!"

Once she reaches the City, her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets a lame boy running the run-down King's Eyrie. He takes her under his metaphorical wing, while she takes him under her actual wing, and between the two of them they try to fix the problems which keep them separate from their own kind.

Their journey will involve self discovery, dragons, kings and princesses, magic and the stars. Not all their dreams can come true, but perhaps enough of them to find happiness.
