Synopsis: Nicole: The re-telling of my life
Growing up in a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania, I learned a lot of hard life lessons. Living with an abusive father can make you grow up faster. Moving to a larger town, and dealing with mental illness and the drama of high school also teaches life lessons that are invaluable. The best lessons are learned by yourself.
Excerpt: Nicole: The re-telling of my life
Prologue:
Thirty three days until my eighteen birthday. Only thirty three days. That's not many. Most people think that the age of eighteen is the turning point in your life. They're probably right. I thought that perhaps now would be a good age to try and recap my life as best as possible. Eighteen years has a lot of memories, there's a lot of details to put down on paper. Also, I think the topic of my life is interesting enough that I could write 50,000 words in one month, the month of November. Which means about 1,700 words a day. That's about two and a half pages. Most people can't do that. Well, I'm going to give it a shot. We'll see how it goes.
