Brief Author Bio:

When I'm not writing I"m usually floating around the internet or playing a game of some sort - right now I'm going through Dungeon Keeper 2 again. At work I'm an assistant manager at one of the few remaining Tandy stores in Melbourne - ask me sometime about the stupid I get there.

Synopsis: Talbot & Bastard: Old Wounds

Just my luck... first case as an occult investigator and I get The Corpse Explosion Special. Fucking brilliant. The entry hall was varnished with dried blood, reeking enough in the January heat to make Bastard whimper. I had to agree with him; I'd expect to see this much blood in a Quentin Tarantino movie, not in a three-bedroom house in Noble Park. "Sorry boy - gotta go in if we want answers," I apologised to the dog, before leading him inside.

Recently discharged (or "forced out" if you ask Marcus) of the Victoria Police Dog Squad, Marcus Talbot refused to disregard the strange experience he went through that killed two police dogs and left him with a scar on his arm. Not long after setting up his own occult investigation agency courtesy of the mysterious "Emily," Marcus and his dog Bastard get a call from his old "friend" Sergeant Eric Matheson; there's been another murder done by someone with a similar M.O. to the guy that got Marcus tossed out of the police, and Eric wants some help investigating it. Matheson is convinced the perpetrator's human: Talbot is sure it's not.

There's only one way to find out who's right...
