Synopsis: Heaven Falls

Skidding with a crash, they could feel something overcoming them, almost draining. It burned, but not a firey feeling, one of shock and disbelief. That's when it happened, that's when the crash became more then a crash, and the child they narrowly missed became the white rabbit. They were now Alice, all three of them.

Harley, Ava and Finn are three best friends travelling from their mundane part time jobbed lives for an extraordinary beach party out of the city. Their trip is cut short when a child meanders onto the road and a quick swerve causes a crash that would change their lives forever.

Waking up they immediately sense their situation is not of the norm. Harley, Ava and Finn are no longer in their wrecked vehicle, and not in a hospital room either. Their injuries from the crash gone, all that seems to remain is them and the places they loved most.

Yet they aren't scared, they aren't even worried really, until they realize what's happening. Familiar and friendly faces from their pasts approach them, confront them, people who are dead. People they loved and had left their world behind.

They awoke in heaven, and heaven awoke them. Their troubles melted away they start to enjoy their surroundings and seeing their old loves, families and even old friends they used to secretly hate. But if something is too good to be true, it usually is.

They are reminded of this when they realize they have to make a choice, before the choice is made for them, and without consulting each other. Do they abandon their lives together in exchange for living in this world, possibly without one another, Or do they risk this wonderful chance at eternal happiness to return to their miserable and cold lives in the real world, just to be reuinted again?

Excerpt: Heaven Falls

The frog in her throat definitely wanted to croak as she turned away. This couldn't be real, this couldn't be real, this couldn't be real. But it seemed so real. It was as if she could reach out and touch her, but she knew it couldn't be real.

The warm wind on her skin only intensified the panic pangs surging through her veins as her heart was ready to burst. Clutching her chest she turned away, almost ready to cry. The weirdest part of all was that Ava wasn't sad, she wasn't scared, she was just surprised and shocked.

She knew when she awoke that something was off-kilter, she just hadn't expected it to be a full blown acid trip. Shaking her head, she slowly turned to the woman behind her.

It looked like her, she stood like her, hell, she even spoke like her. Could it really be her? The woman stood, holding her arms together, smiling, her eyes containing what would be tears of joy.

Again, Ava shook her head and let the panic control her, but there it was. What she was looking for. That scent, it was familiar, as it encompassed her like a warm embrace. That was a perfum she could smell even if it was miles away. Le Fleur, the perfume she had once purchased herself as a gift.

That gift was given to one person, and only one person and it was the person standing before her. The kind hearted, once upon a time sickly, woman standing before her clearly was no hallucination.

She was no facade or trick, nothing of the sort. The woman in front of her was her mother and it was at that instant that she realized it, and she began to sob.
