About HollarLocation: Winooski, VT Website: http://theleprechaunsmustpayforoursins.blogspot.com/ Favorite novels: Infinite Jest, Catch-22, House of Leaves, The Brothers Karamazov Favorite writers: DFW, Fyodor Dostoevsky, William T. Vollmann, Richard Powers, Haruki Murakami Favorite music: Considering I've never written a novel, I have no idea. I suspect The Fall will not work well, though, Also, I would like it officially noted that when being displayed, this field is entitled 'Favorite Music', yet it is 'Favorite Music for Novel Writing' on the edit page. Someone should probably take care of the inconsistency. Non-noveling interests: Beer, Coffee and baseball statistics. Good times. |

Synopsis: Rapunzel Gets A Buzzcut
And it shall be called a fairy tale, because that's the easiest genre to choose so that I can do anything I like. Will it make sense? Probably some. Will it contain awkward attempts at humor interspersed with some actual decent jokes? Likely. Will there be an interview with William and Jim Reid? Absolutely. Why? Because I can.
Excerpt: Rapunzel Gets A Buzzcut
A long, long time ago in a far away land there lived a woodcutter, his wife, and their daughter Gertrude. She hated her parents for reasons I regard as self-evident, and nightly dreamed of a magical governmental entity which would allow her to change her hated name. But alas for Gertrude, such a thing was not to be! For she lived long, long ago in Far Away, not in the district 12 courtroom of Judge Priscilla Owens. But let us not waste tears for Gertrude! She will spill plenty of her own over the awful moniker, and adding our own to the pile would serve no effect, as by the end of this she will have died of smallpox.
