I should start off by saying that I wasn’t always an alcoholic, and I don’t even consider myself an alcoholic now. I feel like I’m going through kind of a rough patch and drinking just kind of makes me feel more carefree. I also feel I should mention that I’m really not Catholic, but was raised Catholic. I didn’t feel like I could trust a therapist so I decided that I would start going to confession and talking about all my problems there as a substitute. Also this option came at a cheaper rate.
