Synopsis:
So I'm trying something new. No plot. Just writing. We'll see what happens. I think it is futuristic, but all I can say right now is that it is fiction with some of my own experiences thrown in. The more I write, the more I'm leading to a 'transition' novel. Moving from Adolescence/Young Adulthood to full Adulthood.
Excerpt:
She needed to pee. Years later, when she looked back on events, that is what stood out. Her first sign wasn’t that she was sick, or that her boobs hurt. It was the overwhelming need to pee. She commented to her friend that she thought she had a bladder infection, and started to drink nothing but cranberry juice but it didn’t help.
Her second symptom appeared right before she visited her best friend in the hospital. It was a debate to go. She felt like she was coming down with something. That general malaise feeling. But her friend just gave birth, and she wanted to see the baby and support her friend. So she took some pain killers and went to the hospital. The baby was really cute, and she was glad she did so. But as she got sick, she worried she got the newborn sick as well.
The third symptom was the tip off. She started to throw up. Her work friend said it was because of all the cranberry juice. Her best friend asked if she could be pregnant. She laughed it off. Her and her boyfriend had been careful. Besides they were just playing around.
