Synopsis: Border Crossing

In November 2009, Brian MacRaild began his NaNoWriMo novel. He also rescued a dragon from the river bordering Scotland and England, along with Englishman Roger Smith. Now, Roger is stuck on the wrong side of the river, trying to get home. Meanwhile, the Scottish Unionists, led by Alex Salmond, are trying to create a single United Britain.
Kidnape, rape and carnage... it's all in here!

Excerpt: Border Crossing

Suddenly there was a shout from the English bank. “Freeze!”
All of them stopped what they were doing – except for the dragon, which had reduced its shaking thanks to the food.
“Get back to your own country!” said the voice, angrily.
Brian frowned, confused. Slowly, he turned around to see Roger being held at gunpoint by an English soldier.
Roger was knee-deep in the river as he took another step forward, opening his mouth to speak.
“Take another step and I'll shoot!” the soldier yelled.
“But...” Roger began.
“Turn around, and get back to your own country!”
Roger paused, then obeyed the soldier, turning and walking back into Scotland. The soldier remained on the opposite bank, clearly watching them to make sure that none of the others attempted to get into England.
“Welcome to Scotland,” said Brian.
