Synopsis: An Irrelevant Clarity

A generation ago, all civilization on Earth was destroyed in a nuclear holocaust, except for the few thousand living in Bubble City, the ground station of the space elevator connected to the International Space Station. A new generation is discovering the horrible choices made by their parents as they begin to take their places in this tightly controlled society. With such a limited gene pool, these scientists have embarked on a plan of eugenics, genetic manipulation and "necessary" elimination of unwanted traits. How do the Catholic Priest and Evangelical Christian chaplains of the city deal with these atrocities? Being the product of this genetic manipulation, how does the younger generation cope with the lies they've been told, and the surprising, to them, discovery of a greater civilization out in the world; a thriving civilization they've been told had been completely destroyed?
