Synopsis: A Murder in Nook Farm
Katy Leary, the housekeeper for the Clemens family for over 30 years, is living in Hartford in 1881 while Sam Clemens is busily writing novels under the pen name Mark Twain. One night in October, a murder is committed in the neighborhood that the Clemenses share with such neighbors as Harriet Beecher Stowe and other luminaries of Victorian Hartford society. Unable to leave matters to the police, Katy begins to secretly investigate the murder in the underbelly of the gilded city, placing herself and possibly her employers in serious danger.
