Synopsis: The Rifters

Just as there are geographical fault lines running throughout the Earth, there are also a myriad of dimensional fault lines running throughout the universe. This fault is known as the Rift, and like geographical faults, it can quake.

Normal people can't see or sense the Rift, but they can still be affected. They can still, on rare and extreme occasions, slip through the cracks into an alternate dimension. They can still witness the impossible - people or creatures from other dimensions, falling into their own. They are still in danger.

This is why the Rifters exist. Led by Captain Ross Ashton, they are a group of people gifted with psychic powers who make it their job to monitor the Rift and ensure that it harms no one... and also ensure that no one harms it. For the Rift is a powerful force, and there are always those who would control it for ill...
