Excerpt: Trapped in Ice
“How the hell..you are a monster!” Her voice cried shrilly over the distance between us as the podiums slowly retracted back into the ground and the field of sand and water flickered away. She stormed across the field and past my pokemon to stand fearlessly before me, her hair untangled and falling messily about her shoulders. Her skin was flushed with the heat of battle and likely the rage she must feel for me right now. “I understand now why they call you the ice man! My pokemon were nearly killed, and you just stood there with your eyes closed ignoring it!” She was beautiful ranting at me, her hands balled into fists and her eyes dark with anger.
I reached out and curled my hand behind her neck, tangling some of that bright hair in my fingers. “Shut up..” I said simply and bent down so my lips met her own, my other arm curled behind her back and pulled her shaking form against my own. She didn’t fight the kiss and instead answered in kind, those fists uncurling as she wrapped her arms almost fiercely around me.
The moment seemed to last forever, her trembling body warm against mine as we lost ourselves in the pure lust that ran through us after the battle. Eventually she pulled free and smacked me hard across the cheek. “You damn worthless monster of a man! How dare you!”
I laughed and smirked, licking my lips and gazing down at her. “You didn’t seem to be objecting.” I pointed out, rubbing my cheek. This only seemed to make her angrier and she growled out some strangled thing or another before all but running from the place. No doubt she’d make up some story about how I forced her, which would be half true. But honestly I didn’t give a damn. I returned Sang to his pokeball before striding over to Ia’s side and looking up at the crowd. They all looked more then a little bit dumbstruck and quickly looked away and began to leave. Once the place was empty I turned my attention down to Ia and shrugged as she cocked her head quizzically at me.
I picked her up after putting my pokemon balls back in my bag and slinging said back around my shoulder. She deserved a big meal along with the rest of my team for a good battle I was certain. Later I would watch the replay, but for now I just wanted to forget the taste of Tia’s lips against my own and the sound of those waves crashing against my heart.
