Synopsis: working title: New Recruit

Urban fantasy. Vampires exist, but they don't drink blood - they drink life energy. Henry Vasco was dying of incurable kidney disease when a vampire offers him a way to save himself - and live a long time.

But becoming a vampire doesn't take a simple bite - it takes a ritual, a bloody, murderous ritual. It's a ritual what can be sensed by others with an ability to sense the unnatural and painful deaths.

And when they do... they're coming for Henry and those responsible....
