Synopsis: Karanga

Two boys, one European, and one Maori, run away to find the mythological Turehu, the Patupaiarehe, the fairy folk, in the depths of the bush in 1850's colonial New Zealand.

A 1420s comet, a tsunami, the great Chinese fleet, secret civilisations, jade and steampunk, cultural clashes, time travel, magic , alternate histories and conspiracy theories ....
