Brief Author Bio: I'm a writer wannabe and am finally getting serious about it, attempting freelance writing even. I run an adventure group in the Philadelphia area and forming a non-profit organization around it. I also run a writers' group in South Jersey. I drink way too much coffee and I like to knit (but not in November). |

Synopsis: Summer Kids
Unexpected memory.
I watched the tall woman walk up the path to my house. She was somber, seemingly confident in her stride but I noticed a half second of hesitation as she scanned the front of the house. She wore sensible black heels and black stockings, covered by a long woolen coat. Her long, bright auburn hair was striking for a woman wearing such sedate clothing. But her hair was what tipped me off, and when she took off her oversized sunglasses and walked up the three steps onto my dark front porch, my heart jumped with surprise--and a little fear--as I realized that Lucy Sparks had found me.
