after all that,
an excerpt

He shouted at the woman officer to radio in for back up but the woman officer could not see what was going on. She saw blood begin to splash across the room and Peleus running in the wake of the blood splashes, thrusting his sword and his dagger about where more blood sprouted from mid air.
'Get out of here, Kim, just get out,' yelled the male officer, rushing for the door.
Kim followed him and Ada thought what a pair of absolute useless fannies they were. Fat lot of good in a tight situation they turned out to be.
The Minotaur was seriously wounded, blood was all over the place. Kim slipped in a splash of it and got it on her face. Instantly, she saw the Minotaur in all of his gory horrible detail, and screamed a butt chilling scream which made everyone pause to look at her and then return to the situation in hand, namley:
Peleus swiped again at the Minotaur with his sword and thrust a jab of his dagger into the Minotaur's neck. The male officer managed to fiddle the yale lock into a dead lock instead of opening the door. And Ada had put on a coat and wellies and grabbed her car keys, ever the more practical, she was getting used to this, and while she was at it, had also grabbed a large kitchen knife in case the enraged and unpredictably lunging Minotaur came anywhere near her.
Peleus shouted curses at the Minotaur in Ancient Greek and Ada could not understand them.
The Minotaur succumbed to Peleus' last and final blow and slumped to the floor, bellowing and huffing and snorting. Blood ran from several wounds and from his nose. His eyes rolled disgustingly in his head and Ada regretted asking Peleus to be quite so thorough.
She felt sorry for the beast now that he was reduced to this.
The two officers had managed to open the door and a blast of cold air came into the room. Ada rushed over to the Minotaur and put a throw from one of the chairs over his body, remembering how he could not stand being cold.
The Minotaur looked up at her with large brown eyes and huffed, 'Maiden, I have been slain, in good sport. I must thank you for your hospitality, you were kind to me, when I was less than pleasant to you -' he coughed up a blob of spit and blood. Ada burst into floods of tears and threw herself onto the beast in a huge bout of guilt ridden regret, sobbing big fat gobbets of --

Peleus looked disgruntled and peeved, annoyed and not really very surprised, like all the women who asked him to kill a Minotaur had these immediate pangs of guiltishness and turned on the waterworks. He wiped his sword and his other blades on the chair throw which Ada had covered the Minotaur with and said, 'Will there be anything else?'
Ada looked at him. The urge to fling herself at him washed over her like a mexican wave, a ripple of feverish lust which lasted all of about five seconds and then was gone. She looked at the mess in her house and at the two officers who were now standing with legs akimbo and speaking into their radios and looking very officious and like they'd never tried to leg it at all.
'I think you should go back now, you should leave this place very quickly if you do not wish to be incarcerated by the guards and their superiors. They think that the Minotaur is a real man with a mask on. They will capture you and put you on trial and lock you up and throw away the key. Leave now, while you have the chance.'
'I would like to but you asked me to kill the Minotaur, and he is not yet dead. Let me finish off the beast with one last thrust from my blade,' and he made ready to dispatch the still groaning and bleeding Minotaur. He flung back the cloth and raised his sword arm high above his shoulder with a finality pursed on his lips and burrowed in his brow.
Ada leapt up and put herself between the Minotaur and the blade.
'Get away, woman, let me finish this beast and I will be gone from here.'
'No, let him alone, no more violence. He'll die soon enough; just leave.'
The cavalry arrived at that moment and a plethora of cops burst through the front door like a swarm of confused and disoriented black beetles. They had on copious amounts of body armour so that to Ada, they moved strangely as they advanced, some of them shouting at Ada to get away from the body, some of them searching for the body as different people came into contact with the Minotaur's blood on the floor. Peleus stood his ground and waited for the coppers to take him,
