Synopsis: The Life Not Lived
As of Oct 15th I had no idea what I was going to write about. Then, flipping through my scraps, I found the starting point. I've put it into the Novel Excerpt window (but won't include it in my word count).
Excerpt: The Life Not Lived
I don't drink often. When I do, I sip slowly but steadily, looking for that space where all the edges are blunted and I don't feel much any more. I do something repetitive, like play solitare or some computer game where you click, click, click without thinking too much about what you're clicking on. And I wait for the noise to approach music. It's the music I"m after. Filling my head. Soothing. A warm blanket.
And after the music come the voices. Snatches of conversation heard one voice at a time. "It's such a horror story..."
