Brief Author Bio: Hi! I'm Kim Robbins, also known as YosemiteSamurai. I stumbled across NaNoWriMo in 2005 and fell headlong into the race. When I told my wife what I was going to do, she asked if I would mind if she tried it, too. Like I'd have a problem with that! I think it's great having her do NaNoWriMo with me, even when she outproduces me. In my first year, I barely cleared 35,000 words. I won in my second year. I attempted the last two NaNos, but didn't get very far. I found that, returning to school as an over 50 student after being laid off from my job of 31 years, I couldn't handle both NaNo and school. Now, though, with my A.A.S. degree in hand, I've plunged back into the writing pool while I look for a job. |
