Rie’s current scheme had less to do with world-conquering and more to do with funding. She planned to teleport inside a bank, grab as much money as possible, and teleport back to the Lab before any silly superheroes made an appearance. Then, using the money, she would buy the supplies necessary to build a large doomsday device that (according to her theory) would turn anybody wearing spandex into small white bunny rabbits. This would have the additional benefit of reducing the loss of life, since Stig had an affectionate love of small cute animals, and probably wouldn’t stab them. In fact, he’d probably stab anybody wanting to harm them. Rie would have to keep the superheroes like that forever, and probably would have to rule a world without any acrobats, certain types of athletes or fetishists, but she could deal with that. She thought the plan was perfect.
“But, Rie,” said Stig, fingering one of his numerous knives he was holding for no particular reason, “We don’t have a teleporter.”
Rie sighed, putting a hand on Stig’s shoulder, even though he was taller, and said, “That’s why we have to kidnap one, see?”
“But what are the odds that we’ll find a teleporter, manage to clip the bracelet on him… or her, and get that teleporter to teleport us into the bank rather than into a large den of superheroes?”
At that precise moment, the man in the suit appeared right beside Rie. And before anybody could say “that was suspiciously convenient”, Stig had clipped the bracelet on him.
The man in the suit’s reaction was: “Not again.”
Rie’s reaction was: “That was suspiciously, but very luckily, convenient” (it wasn’t lucky at all).
Stig’s reaction was: “…Not again?”
