Synopsis: Death By Appointment

In a world of immortals, Death Merchant Jikelyn Emora makes a living by giving people the death of their dreams. But when her ex-husband, Demael, turns up and commissions her to kill him, she finds herself hesitating for the first time in a hundred years.

However, before she can complete the task, Demael's mutilated body is discovered in an abandoned garden. What begins as a search for his murderer becomes a desperate attempt to prevent a witchhunt as more mutilated bodies, some of them prominent members of society, are displayed about town.

Even the reluctant cooperation of her rivals, the Assassins, may not be enough to prevent the emergence of a group who calls themselves the Balancers: those who kill in the name of justice. If Jikelyn cannot find a way to stop them, immortality may become a thing of the past and the next appointment with death may be her own.
