Synopsis: Victory in Flames

Sigrún, leader of the Valkyr. Once Gunnr (Val) has left to become one of Odin’s Ravens, the long empty spot in the Valkyr lineup needs to be filled. Sigrún is assigned to find the new Valkyrie. Sent to the mortal realm to find a human, she locates Sonja, a circus performer, part of a troupe that is known for their sword fighting displays. She joins the troupe to get to know Sonja better and discovers what life is like in the mortal realm. Sonja turns out to be living under a curse, placed on her by a witch, who held her family responsible for the death of her husband. The two women must find the real killer, in order to lift the curse and allow Sonja to become a Valkyrie. They are targeted by the killer, but manage to survive and turn the killer over to the witch, eliminating the curse. Sonja is free to join the Valkyrie as one of the nine, but Sigrún has enjoyed her time in the mortal realm (and one of the male circus performers) and decides to step down as leader of the Valkyr. She delivers Sonja and the bad news to Odin and returns to Earth.
